Storm protection for car and truck door windows in the Gulf Coast and FloridaThe bands arrive first.
Be covered before they do.

From Brownsville to the Keys, the season is long and the storms come off warm water. Outer bands throw debris a day before the eye, and summer sea-breeze storms drop hail on the way.

Hurricane season June to November. Sea-breeze thunderstorms most summer afternoons.

Gulf Coast

What the weather does to a vehicle here.

  • Outer-band debris

Palm fronds, roofing and yard debris start moving with the first bands, long before the worst of the wind.

  • Sea-breeze hail

Daily summer storms build inland in the afternoon and can drop hail on the coast by evening.

  • Squalls and driving rain

Fast lines off the Gulf bring wind-driven rain and whatever the wind picks up.

Questions from Gulf Coast

Before you pay.

Protects against hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles. Not bullet resistant. Not wind rated.

Can I put it on and evacuate?
Yes. It is made to stay on the closed door through high-wind weather, so it rides with you. It is not certified for wind speed, so use at higher speeds is at your own risk, and take it off if it ever blocks your view.
Does it help with storm surge?
No. It is built for hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles at the doors and glass, not for water.
How fast does it come off?
About five minutes, and it slides into its own carrying bag.
Will it fit a full-size SUV?
If the door has three straight edges large enough for the hooks and straps, and the panel fits within 36 by 36 inches, yes. You pattern the panel to that door from the document.

Storms don't wait.
Be ready.

Fifteen minutes on, five minutes off, and it stores in its bag. Order before the season, not during it.
