Storm protection for car and truck door windows in the Mountain WestFront Range hail.
Front door covered.

The Front Range and the high plains behind it see some of the most frequent large hail in the country, and the mountain storms that build over the divide come down in the afternoon.

Hail season May to August, heaviest along the Front Range. Winter brings wind-driven snow and ice.

What the weather does to a vehicle here.

  • Front Range hail

Storms build over the foothills after lunch and move onto the plains with hail that can reach baseball size.

  • Downslope wind and debris

Chinook and downslope winds throw limbs, gravel and roofing across whole towns.

  • Winter ice and wind

Blowing snow and ice with winter fronts, and wind that moves anything not tied down.

Questions from Mountain West

Before you pay.

Protects against hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles. Not bullet resistant. Not wind rated.

Does it help in winter?
It is built for hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles. Ice and wind-blown debris are in that. It does not seal the vehicle and is not wind rated.
Can I keep it in the truck?
It stores in its own carrying bag. It is a rigid panel, so plan a flat place for it, out of direct sun.
How long does it take to put on in the cold?
About fifteen minutes, one person, no tools.

Storms don't wait.
Be ready.

Fifteen minutes on, five minutes off, and it stores in its bag. Order before the season, not during it.
