Storm protection for car and truck door windows in Tornado Alley and Hail AlleyWall cloud at four.
Panels on by three.

From the Texas panhandle to the Dakotas, the plains get the biggest hail in the country and the storms that throw it.

Peak hail and tornado season April to June, with a second run of storms in late summer and fall.

Tornado Alley

What the weather does to a vehicle here.

  • Large hail

Supercells on the plains drop golf-ball and baseball hail over whole neighborhoods in minutes, and a parked vehicle takes it on the glass and the doors.

  • Tornado outflow and debris

Even a storm that never produces a tornado throws gravel, limbs and roofing on its outflow winds.

  • Long warning windows

Plains storms are watched for hours before they arrive. A watch is time enough to put the panels on.

Questions from Tornado Alley

Before you pay.

Protects against hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles. Not bullet resistant. Not wind rated.

How big a hailstone is it built for?
The agreement says hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles, without a size rating, and this site does not add one. The proof page lists the sizes people recognize, from pea to baseball.
Can I keep it on for a whole storm season?
It is quick on and quick off on purpose. It is designed to go on for the watch and come off after, back in its bag.
Does it work on a car or SUV, not only a truck?
It can, within two limits in EVAC's documents: the door needs three straight edges large enough to hang the hooks and straps on, and the panel can be no larger than 36 by 36 inches. The document is drawn around a full-size pickup, and you pattern the panel to your own door.
Is it a tornado shelter for the vehicle?
No. It is built for what a storm throws at the doors and glass. It is not wind rated and the agreement says so.

Storms don't wait.
Be ready.

Fifteen minutes on, five minutes off, and it stores in its bag. Order before the season, not during it.
