Do it yourself

The drawings.
The license.
Your build.

WHIP MK I. What you buy is the document: the procurement and assembly instructions and parts list for one door, licensed to you. You buy the parts and build a clear guard that stays on the closed door through high-wind weather: storm protection that rides with you. Nothing physical ships except your certificate sticker.

$99.00per door, plus about $633 in parts, and supplies and tools

Parts are bought separately, off the document's own list, which totals $633.28 for one panel at the prices it lists. Its cleaning supplies and tools add about $84 if you own none of them, and several parts come in multi-packs, so later doors cost less.

You will be asked to accept the license agreement before payment. If your finished panel will not fit your vehicle, EVAC's 90-day rebate covers that door's $99.00 license, not the parts, after at least two video meetings with EVAC. Check the fit before you buy parts. The full terms are on the refunds page.

Fit and patterns

There is no size chart.

You make a cardboard pattern of your own door, and the document shows how, so there is no fit list to publish. The document is drawn around a 2015 Ford F-150 and adapted from there to your vehicle. Two limits come from the document itself: the door needs three straight edges large enough to hang the hooks and straps on, and the panel can be no larger than 36 by 36 inches, the size of the polycarbonate sheet. If either is in doubt for your vehicle, ask before you buy.

Licensed to you

Your name and order reference are on every page. One license per door.

What it is, and what it is not

WHIP is built for hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles. It is not bullet resistant and not wind rated. Those are the words in the license agreement, and this site does not go further than the document you sign.

Read the license agreement

Who can buy

WHIP is sold to United States citizens aged 18 or over, buying for their own personal or household use, with no criminal background and not barred from owning firearms or body armor. It ships to the 48 contiguous states and DC, not to a P.O. Box, FPO or APO address, and it may not be exported or resold. One license covers one door. You confirm each of these before you pay, and they are set out in full in the license agreement.

At a glance

WHIP in seven facts.

What it is
WHIP is a clear, double-pane polycarbonate guard for a vehicle door window, designed by The Enhanced Vehicle Armor Company (EVAC), a U.S. veteran-owned company in Beaufort, South Carolina. Patent pending.
How it attaches
Three J-hooks hang it over the top of the door frame, and side and bottom ratchet straps hold it, with the door latched. Nothing on the vehicle is modified.
What it protects
The area beneath the panel, which is most of the door window and part of the door, from hail, debris and weather-driven projectiles. The glass may still break.
What it is not
Not bullet resistant and not wind rated. It covers the window area under the panel, not the paint or body of the vehicle.
Time
About fifteen minutes on and five minutes off. It stores in its own carrying bag and is not for permanent mounting.
Fit
One license covers one door. The door needs three straight edges large enough for the hooks and straps, and the panel can be no larger than 36 by 36 inches. Tape any spot where a hook or strap touches paint.
Price
Priced per door. The WHIP MK I license is $99.00. The parts list in the document totals $633.28 for one panel, plus cleaning supplies and tools you may already own.

Storms don't wait.
Be ready.

Fifteen minutes on, five minutes off, and it stores in its bag. Order before the season, not during it.
