What EVAC collects when you buy, write in or sign up for alerts, what it is used for, and how to ask for it back.
Effective 26 September 2026. The Enhanced Vehicle Armor Company LLC ("EVAC"), Beaufort, South Carolina, runs this site and is responsible for the information described here. Questions go to info@evacarmor.com.
1.What EVAC collects
Only what a purchase, a message or an alert needs:
- When you buy: your name (it is printed on every page of your licensed document), email address, the vehicle and door the product is for, and the street address you give for mailing your certificate. EVAC also records the agreement version you accepted, the exact text of it, your eligibility statements, and the time, IP address and browser you accepted them from. That record is the proof of the license you agreed to.
- Payment: card details are entered in Stripe's secure card field on the checkout page and go straight to Stripe; they never reach EVAC. EVAC receives the payment status, the amount and a payment reference.
- Your documents: each time a licensed document link is issued or downloaded, the time, IP address and browser are logged, to enforce the download limit and the license.
- When you write in: the name, email, order reference and message you send through a contact, support or emergency services form, plus the department, phone number and vehicle details the emergency services form asks for.
- Storm alerts: your email address, state and county, and whether you confirmed and when you unsubscribed.
- Community forum: your account email and the posts you write. Posts show your first name and last initial, never your email.
- Site use: pages visited, buttons clicked and the page that referred you, tied to a random visitor number in a first-party cookie, not to your name. Your cart is also kept in a cookie. Neither is used for advertising.
2.What it is used for
- Filling your order: stamping your document, mailing your certificate, and sending the emails that go with each step.
- Keeping the license enforceable: the acceptance record, the serial number and the download log.
- Answering you, and sending the storm alerts you asked for, each with a link to unsubscribe.
- Understanding which pages help people decide, so the site can be improved.
- Meeting legal duties, including tax, export-control and fraud checks.
EVAC does not sell or rent personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3.Law enforcement
As the license agreement states, EVAC keeps a database of serialized products, and if law enforcement needs information about a purchaser, EVAC will share it. Every buyer agrees to this at checkout.
4.Who processes it for EVAC
These services handle data on EVAC's behalf, only to run the site:
- Stripe, for payment.
- Supabase, for the database, accounts and document storage.
- Vercel, which hosts the site.
- Resend, which sends the site's email.
- Umami, for page-view statistics, hosted by Integrity Web Creations, the company that built and maintains this site.
- UPS, FedEx or the U.S. Postal Service, which receive a name and address to deliver an order.
5.How long it is kept
Order, license and serial records are kept for as long as the license can be enforced and tax law requires, and at least seven years. Messages, emergency services notes and site-use records are kept only while they are useful for answering you or improving the site, and are deleted when you ask (section 6). Alert sign-ups stop receiving alerts as soon as you unsubscribe. The visitor cookie expires after one year.
6.Your choices and requests
You can ask for a copy of the information EVAC holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing info@evacarmor.com. EVAC will confirm the request from the email address on file and answer within 45 days. Records EVAC must keep under section 5, such as a license acceptance, are kept even after a deletion request, and the rest is deleted.
Unsubscribe from alerts with the link in any alert email. Block or clear cookies in your browser; the cart will then empty itself, and nothing else stops working. This site does not change its behavior on a browser's Do Not Track signal, because it does no cross-site tracking to turn off.
7.Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted. Licensed documents are kept in private storage and reached only through short-lived links issued to the buyer. Access to order records is limited to EVAC. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, EVAC will tell you as the law requires.
8.Children
The products are sold to adults, and this site is not directed to children under 13. EVAC does not knowingly collect information from them; a parent who believes it has should write to info@evacarmor.com.
9.Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. A change that affects how existing information is used will be sent by email to buyers first.
